Embedded Software Tester

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Examine software requirements to understand the systems functionality and performance expectations
2. Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test scripts for the requirement
3. Execute tests and analyze results to ensure software meets design specification
4. Debug and troubleshoot embedded software issues
5. Document the identified issues, bugs or defects thoroughly, include steps to reproduce the relevant context
6. Ensure the quality and useability of the software
7. Validate that the software complies with the standards and regulations
8. Develop automated tests for embedded software
9. Develop and maintain test databases
10. Develop and maintain test documentation following the guidelines
11. Participate in code reviews and design reviews

Desired Skills

C, C++, C#, IEEE-12207, IEEE-29119, DO-178B/C (LDRA), DDPMAS, MIL-STD-498.

Qualifications

B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in CE/ECE/CSE/EEE/ECE/E & TCE or MSc (CS) or MCA
